| Please don't yell, I don't have it's right name, maybe. Anyway, It's going to be a big guy, reportedly.
I gave up on all other junipers except for 2 ground types. This I hate to waste. I'm thinking of clearing a large space on a slope on a south exposure. I know they like dry soil, wind enough to get their foliage dry. NOT PLANTED TOO DEEPLY. My question is this sight is at the top of a small retaining wall, thus elevating it futher to about 4 feet (at soil level) from the ground). No, it's way too far back to block any traffic views. Would the winter winds that can be strong at times coming straight at this thing from both the south, west (which really doesn't give it much "protection") be too much for it? I hear of winter desication, etc. But I also think these can be used as windbreaks. Though I'm unsure what that means. Any advice would be appreciated greatly Sorry I'm rambling, not feeling well, Amy |

| hope you feel better check out the link ... first link gives a latin version.. there might even be a Japanese name ... flip over to the IMAGES side... to see its potential ... once established.. it should be pretty bullet-proof ... just plant it properly.. do not let it dry out this summer.. but dont drown it .... and water late into fall ... and see what happens ... but why did you give up on all the rest ???? is there a story we are missing???? ken
