Abies Pindrow Question

I ordered 1 ounce of Abies Pindrow from FW Schumacher a few months ago and have now planted the 300 or so seeds but I still can't find out if it will do well here or not. I believe I am actually in zone 8 now according to the new USDA Hardiness map which is what Abies Pindrow is rated for, but I live only about 30 miles from the old Z7/8 line. We do have summer droughts more than occassionally but it is always humid here regardeless. According to the Plants For A Future website it grows best in cooler, wetter parts of Great Britain and that it grows very well in moist clay soil, which is what I have here. Can someone tell me if the 200 seedlings I have are all going to die from our heat.
