    Nice job Nate!
That yellow Pinus ponderosa 'Antler Ridge' is a very special one.
Did you found this one also, or can give more info about it?
    Thanks!

That light really draws those candles out quickly. Are those the Goldilocks scions I sent?

Dax, it turns out I also received Goldilocks from another person earlier. The ones you sent should not be far behind.

Coniferjoy, I did just find the ponderosa in the mountains last weekend when collecting the flexilis 'South Park' broom.
Elev. 9500 ft (2895 m). It will be interesting to see what happens with it.

    Nate, thanks for your info.
At your first pic the needle colour is much more brighter then the pic you took from the whole tree.
Is this because you're using a flash light on your camara?
Anyway, a yellow(ish) ponderosa is very special!

Edwin, the first pic is taken without flash, but under a full spectrum grow light which mimics natural sunlight.
The tree pic was taken under cloudy conditions.
I'll continue to watch the color of the graft over time. We'll see what happens!
Unfortunately the tree is very far from me, and I cannot observe its habits on a regular basis.
In general, some of the trees in this area are a bit lighter color. This one was more so than the rest.

Nice graftings Nate, you're becomming a real specialist!
The Picea pungens 'C. Blue' is a very nice dwarf cultivar.
    What does the "C." mean?

The Pinus ponderosa 'Agnieszka' is the only variegated Pinus ponderosa in which I'm familiar with.
This one isn't from the U.S. but from Poland and is found and introduced by Janusz Szewcyk.

In my opinion your 'Blue Spire' isn't an Abies lasiocarpa cultivar, but an Abies procera cultivar.
The true name is Abies procera 'Blue Spiral', found and introduced by Larry Stanley.

I missed that, yes it should be procera. Since I sent Nate the scions...

    Best Regards,

    Nate, great pics of everything.
Also wanted to add that your Pseudotsuga mix looks superb.
    Bark, perlite, pumice, and turface?

Edwin, my understanding is that the pungens at one time was referred to 'Coors Blue', although now it is formally named 'C. Blue'.
Thanks for the background information on P. ponderosa 'Agnieszka', and to you and Dax for the Abies procera 'Blue Spiral' clarification.

Josh, that's pretty close! Bark, perlite, turface, scoria, and a pinch of potting soil.

'C.Blue' the story goes that the name 'associated' Coors Beer, so the name was shortened. It's quite unlikely that most grafters and nursery folk know this...

    Guys,
as I know the C. Blue was earlier really Coors Blue by Jerry Morris, but the property owner, where the plant was found, didn't want to use his name.
    Dax?

Ah, missed the pinch of potting soil! ;-)
I have some seeds sown in the same mix...just waiting for them to pop up, if they're still viable.
