We're lucky in the US to find Abies sibirica as a seedling for sale. Hermsen was telling me Kohout went on a broom hunting excursion to ?Russia? and found a ridiculous amount of Abies sibirica brooms, like 3,000.
Hi Dax, Both must be American selections. 'Hoyt' is probably from the Hoyt Arboretum and 'Suncrest' is probably from the Suncrest Nursery.
I know that Jörg was in Russia for hunting brooms of Abies sibirica, Larix sibirica, Pinus sibirica and Picea obovata. I allready received from him some of these brandnew witches'brooms for my collection.
