Starting over

Been gone for awhile....starting over on 25 acres with lots of potential - 7 acres open and 18 acres of mixed woods with river flowing through it.

My enthusiasm for conifers drifted after filling up most of my prior 3.3 acres. I will be moving lots (what my back can stand) of cultivar conifers from my old home this spring and planting many conifers for additional privacy and adding conifers to my woods - tamarack, bald cypress, balsam fir, white pine.

Would like to add some color along my 1000ft road frontage of Picea pungens. Anyone have some suggestions for colorful shrub groupings?

that's a huge awesome blank slate. I'm envious. Definitely start with some big stuff with pops of color. There are plenty of golden Pinus and Picea out there; just grab a handful of what makes you happy.

How far away are you from Hidden Lakes and Gee Farms? If you're within a 2-day drive then it's definitely worth a road trip to get an idea of what works in Michigan.

take your time and have fun. I'd say you have at least a 10-year project on your hands.

places for unusall plants.Are you located on the upper
raisin river? If so you are not far from us. I would like to
