Yep,Happy Easter Sara , I hope we soon get a break in the weather, as it has been depressingly cold,rainy and today also very windy. Add to that a really sore backache and a van with one ton of lava grit that needs to be unloaded by shovel....

...........And some say conifers are boring.
I'm going to show this to some cottage gardening friends of mine. Maybe it will enable them to look at conifers a little closer.

Happy Easter!

Most deciduous trees have cracked within the past 2-weeks despite the cold night weather, but they are still waiting to show their flower-colors. Every year this suspended-animation occurs. Soon with a little help from the sun, flowers and leaves will develop. The conifers will wait a while longer with the oaks...

As someone on this (I think) forum remarked a few weeks back - the difference between the first day of spring and the first spring day is sometimes days or even weeks. Don't despair, it's coming!

And Mike if there is one thing we coneheads know for sure, conifers are never boring....they're sometimes just more subtle....
