Pinus densiflora 'Burke's Red Variegated' REDUX

there was a 2009 post.. which i can not update with the pix.. so i decided to make a new post.. and let the other die ...

here are some comments from that post:

a wonderful dragon eye.. if you look at the green bands.. as they go around the whorl... they seem to make an eyeball .... in latin Oculus Draconis ...

first 2 years after transplant.. lost nearly every single needle ....

can't grow any of these in the UK, they stay completly green !...

Yes, it seems the summers are not hot enough here for the banded densifloras, the green forms are fine otherwise
