Trimming deodara leaders

Had a quick question. I have been trying to keep my hands off my trees as far as maintenance during this last couple of years while they weather the heat waves. But my Golden Cascade has sprouted several competing leaders.

Since Cedar leaders are so thin and flexible would you

1) Pick your favorite leader and use a form of bonsai type training with wire to bend the others into a normal horizontal pendulas position until they stayed there, or

2) Just cut them
