Correct name is Bosnian Pine Pinus heldreichii, you'll find more info with that.

It gets to around 25m tall, rarely a bit more, but is slow-growing, takes a long time to get there. Some in the wild are probably over 1000 years old. Very tolerant of cold and exposure, it grows up to alpine treeline (about 2400m altitude) in Bulgaria. Yes, prefers full sun. Very nice dense foliage and dark purple immature cones.

I think these are great pines and I have used them in some tough sites with no problems yet after 2 brutal winters. This is an 'Emerald Arrow' that I used in a narrow bed between a cul-de-sac and a parking lot.
