Did some nursery hopping today and found some great deals on discounted conifers at Green Acres Nursery, only in the Folsom location. Not all their conifers are on sale, but those that are have a 75% discount! You'll find some standard P. mugo out by the water tower ('Gnom' and 'Sherwood Compact') along with some larger growing Pines I really didn't pay attention to. Up closer to the building there are Picea pungens cultivars, P. omorika 'Nana' standards, a few large and a bunch of small P. bicolor 'Howell's Tigertail' on sale. I purchased both standard mugo and a small 'Howell's (it was under $4).

Such great bargains, plus it's a huge beautiful nursery to walk through, I wanted to let those in the area know about it. Also, Bushnell Gardens has a large selection of conifers. The prices are high but they have cultivars seldom seen in our area, so it's worth the trip even to just look.
