Firs are always the best. Then the hard pines not neglecting some of the soft pines. A lot of spruces are all the same. Picea abies in particular. I remember many years ago someone telling me a story about a famous person who said all the white pines look the same, Pinus strobus.

Although, Pinus parviflora, then were talking a new game. Those and the firs.
