Help identifying this tree

These trees are planted throughout the Chicago area. I know they are deciduous since they stand bare throughout the winter months. However, I took these photos in recent days showing the growth coming on all of the branches. Please help me identify these trees. I would like to plant them on my property.

taxodium disectum/bald cypress or metasequoia/dawn redwood... i cant tell from the distance of your ONE pic ... dont know what happened to the other ....

Not sure, but it almost looks like a bald cypress w/male catkins.

i didnt notice yesterday.. that it has already been topped ... due to the power line...

and that didnt seem to slow it down one bit ....
