Insecticidal soap in a spray bottle...buy it from any garden centre/big box hardware store. It's non-toxic (to us) and very effective. You might want to rinse the tree off 20-30 minutes after treatment? Repeat every few days as needed.

most remedies require contact spray ... as compared to preventative.. unless you get into the really hardcore stuff ...
