yellow enough to move to safety

For my work includes lots of driving along the remote forest roads, little seedlings differing in coloration often catch my eye. In this case little yellowish seedling was located just in the roadside whitch is anyway cleared from vegetation every few years so i considered it not as a big sin to move it into my backyard under survaillance.
It has been there for about a year now and kept its yellow appearance wich might be in its genome. Color is a bit dull but i find the relaxed angle of branches somehow interesting. Maby in future, given some more light, it will brighten up. Picture taken just after snow melted.
On the backround are some of normal picea abies.

as long as you don't get in trouble go for it- if you can try and save it. I know I dug up a norway I thought was a goner two years ago and just threw it into the field. today it is thriving big time- I now have to move it back into the yard, go figure.

Will be interesting to see if it keeps that pendulous habit or if that is still from the transplant.

Keep saving those roadside eye catchers.

Nice tree. Sounds like your work takes you to some interesting places!

In the mountain forests here, seedlings are always encroaching into the roads, and are cleared away every few years in the way you describe. You're probably doing the road maintenance department a favor by removing this tree ;)
