Abies homolepis - or not?

A few years ago, I purchased some seedlings labeled A. homolepis. Knowing I was looking for A. recurvata, Dax was kind enough to send one of his "extras". Much to my surprise, the A. recurvata that arrived from Dax is nearly identical to the two trees I have labeled A. homolepis. When the trees labeled A. homolepis were seedlings, I posted pictures here because their pointed needles didn't seem right for a tree that is supposed to have rounded/sometimes notched needles. At the time, Resin suggested I wait to see how they mature as juvenile firs can vary in needle morphology from their mature forms. The only difference that I see between my trees labeled A. homolepis and the A. recurvata that Dax sent is the somewhat more resinous buds on my supposed nikko firs - which could easily be norma variation within A. recurvata.

Long story short, can you please ID my firs labeled A. homolepis. Did I have A. recurvata all this time and not know it?

Pictures of my trees labeled as A. homolepis:

Now, here is the A. recurvata Dax sent:
