Should I be worried?

This was what Burnt Ridge Nursery sent me... 2 look fine, but the other two look like they are dead (although i *think* i saw some new roots forming on one or both of them). Will they pull through?

Was my initial thought too... Why even send them?

Oh well... I'll give them a little time, but will be sure to get a refund.

call them .. honey works better than flame throwing ..

put them on notice of potential failure

then plant them.. and see what happens ...

if they came out of a cooler .. harvested last fall ... they can simply be out of phase ...

i do see green on so they arent dead ...

yeah..there were a few needles that hung on.. most of them just fell off.

There two species of Tsuga heterophylla

On that is the coastal, and the inter mountain.

You want the inter mountain species for WI.

Hopefully that's what you have.
