Nice trees! 'Green Candle' is really nice... CK has set a new standard in plant order. You really can't appreciate how high of quality plants they provide until you order from one of the other online nurseries..

They didn't have everything I wanted this year and was forced to go elsewhere for a couple of offerings. I wish CK would setup some survey's on most popular cultivars we would like to see them offer in the future. I ended up getting ordering Acer palmatum 'Fireglow' from Forest Farm. I the shipping wasn't as bad as I expected, but the tree was incredibly rootbound, already leafed out in early march, and smaller than advertised...CK is indeed the King!

I've just about finished pulling all the dead plants. I sheared them and recycled them into the garden beds. Just the main trunks remain in a pile.

The 'Green Candle' looks even better in real life: it's loaded with candles right now and has a rich green color. It's going to replace a J. c 'Compressa' that was annihilated by the winter winds (the guardian gnome didn't help, for some reason). This winter has made me more partial to mugo pines than ever before, as they appear to be indestructible.
