Some day soon you can get the hammock ready for me. My wife and me plan to visit the NW before father time shuts us down. No date set yet.

My garden has become so involved it is impossible to get away during the growing season. I often wonder about the over kill but with the spring flush all those thoughts perish.

They look great, Will. I love the Doug Fir. What's your plan for the conifers in pots? How long will they be in there? Do you have to root prune regularly? And what kind of potting mix do you use?

Heya Matt. Many of the conifer in pots have been in there five years now. I am planning on leaving many of them in pots until their tops don't allow it. I figure the largest pots can probably contain them for a decade, even if it's not a perfect soil/root setting. They don't need water too often. I don't prune the roots at ALL.

The potting mix has been simply a combination of some bark fines, sand and top soil/other soils. Nothing overly special and it seems to drain OK. We regularly get 30 inches of rain in the wet months and they seem to be just fine.

Great photos Will. Some choice plants and the hammock has to be a wonderful place to lay around and enjoy what you have created there.

Something tells me you don't spend a lot of time in that hammock.
Plants are looking great as always Will.
I also have a lot of plants in containers and don't root prune.To keep them from getting rootbound I put them in a bigger pot or in the ground.
I like that 'El Dorado'!
