Did you have flooding when the snow melted? I recall your photos from last year of conifer beds filled with water and was amazed at how well they (and you) survived.

This year was flooded only a small road. Garden and house was not flooded, thank goodness:) But the water was 170 cm deep, in low areas, closer to the river......

Nice! I like the obovata.

Great photos, Ireena! Is that a purple color on the new growth of Picea obovata var. altaica âÂÂKrylovâÂÂ? It's very nice. I also like the pictures of your pups, and I'm sorry for your loss--it's always terrible to lose a friend.

Yes, Matt, Picea obovata 'Krylov' buds are light bluish-purple. it is difficult to make a good photo with realistic color. New growth is more colorful and different, then other Picea obovata buds colors.
