Sequoia sempervirens Henderson Blue

Hy,
I live in germany and want to know if this cultivar (Sequoia semp. Henderson Blue) is hardy in my region.
Do you have any experience? Blue sequoia sempervirens cultivars are hard to find in my region by the way and i think its a nice one.

Hi Benjamin,

it's similar to 'Glauca'.
I think the blue ones are a bit hardier than most of the green ones. But very important is the micro-climate. Not cold, drying , East winds in winter, not much winter sun, moist,foggy air. Much rain, oceanic climate.

Some years good protection, luck , mild winters and the right area.

It's a risk, but a very nice plant. The last 2 winters were hard here. We will hope, the next winters will be like 2004 till 2008.
