Too much water,

Insert index finger into the planting area.

If dry down to the knuckle water thoroughly.

Repeat the process until the plants have established themselves.

Ken, If you don't have an opinion w/o pics then why are you replying? Wording says yellow/brown. If you have something beneficial to add....I'm all ears. Lets not play the tit for tat game. I'll post some pics later this afternoon

Here is a pic. I noticed that the underside of the branches are green. I also dug a hole 18-24" from a rootball and the soil is fine. Soil was moist to the touch and well drained.

that looks like normal spring growth .... definitely NOT browning ... and to my eye.. not yellow ... though it is off-green ...

and since it is ONLY this springs growth ... it NORMAL ...

go look real close.. and the bark.. will show you what was there last fall .. its brownish ... and what is fresh green bark ... and this springs growth .... i can see it in your pic ....

its chlorophyll production will catch up ...

thats a lot of spring growth.. did you fert them at planting...?? ... i would not fert them .. ever ...

Had trouble loading pics at work....all good. I should have used better wording. The tips look more bronze and gets greener toward the darker bark. Didn't even think to check new growth since I wasn't expecting it. Never used fert only planted them the same day and watered. Thanks for the help
