| That last photo is lovely. What a wonderful setting with that backdrop. Love Scenic Shore, and Donna's Rainbow is one of my very favorites. You really have some great conifers. Cher |
|
| Thank you for your kind words, Cher. I forgot two pics: Picea pungens 'Weirdo' aka 'Teton Weirdo': the apical buds are starting to point upwards...I'll have to get rid of one eventually. |

| Very nice, Matt. Thanks for taking the time. And your wider view is a nice setting. What's the bigger Picea in the background? tj |

| Again, awesome pics of rare conifers! Unfortunately I don't have any valuable info about the Picea orientalis x 'Sherwoodii' Your Picea pungens 'Weirdo' aka 'Teton Weirdo' doesn't seem like the right one. |
|
| Amazing how much nicer the color can be on same cultivars in the same growing conditions. My Silver Seedling and Straw don't look nearly as nice! |

| Picea glauca 'Scenic Shore' & Picea glauca var. densata 'Whiskey Blue Hills' - great names. Superb collection of rarities. |
|
| Thanks guys. Tom, the larger tree is P. omorika 'Pendula'. Edwin, you're right. I whipped out my magnified glass and found that the 'Weirdo' has tiny hairs on it's shoots, making it an engelmannii. Are there other known cultivars besides 'Bush's Lace' that are pendulous? (I really hope it isn't 'Bush's Lace'--I already have one.) Will, I think the difference is in the sources. If I recall you got your 'Straw' from Girard's? I got mine from Rich's Fox Willow Pines and paid a pretty penny for it. I got my 'Silver Seedling' from Don Howse who always has nice plants. |

| Matt, a Picea engelmannii flushes out in a differend way then a Picea pungens. Your's isn't an 'Bush's Lace' for sure, it's a Picea engelmannii 'Pendula'. The 'Bush's Lace' isn't as blue and does have an upright leader. Thanks for your pics, I hope we will see some more :0) |
|
| I like your Picea pungens 'Straw'. Very attractive. Richard |

| Many nice plants ! however, are you sure of the name of Pinus x hakkodensis "Gothenburg " ?? It's a natural hybrid between Pinus parviflora and Pinus pumila. From Arboretum Goteborg. Goteborg/Gothenburg ??? Clement |

| Matt, A very nice presentation of rare and choice cultivars. You have done your home work. Thanks for sharing. Dave |
