Large trees growing in coastal central Florida. I'm posting this in conifers because that's the closest thing I guess. This is the time of year they flower with gold or orange colors. They have rough bark that peels off and small round seeds with spikes. Thanks.

it's hard to tell with a photograph like that but my guess is it's a Grevillea robusta, which is not a conifer.
