Abies koreana 'Aurea' on the second one? Maybe had a hard life so far? First one kinda looks like Abies koreana also but the needles look awful stiff. I don't know.

do you have any clue??? like will you know the name when you see it ...

#2.. beyond aurea... goldner traum is possible.. based on squat shape ... there is some bastardized anglicized version of the name which is improper ...

once we ID the species and family.. you might want to go to the ACS dB and peruse the cultivar names under such ...

also ... with my very limited camera skills.. i have found i get the best .. truest.. pix after dinner ... when the sun is at an angle to the plant... rather than at high noon.. which tends to make it hard to see detail.. other than on the closeups ...

you know when you are done for the evening.. when the camera starts using its flash.. lol.. at that point its too dark form more pix.. because the flash is worse than high noon ...

Here is a close up of picture #2 Photobucket I got both from gee farms,I seen a picture of abies korean Silber Mavers that looked like it but don't know. how can these two be different. Photobucket abies korean Silberlock? Photobucket abies korean? got this one from gee farms.
