Wondering what proportions to use this early in the season for containerized conifers?

I start feeding in March and continue until about November. I use one teaspoon per gallon once a week. I use the 'gritty mix', which contains no nutrients and have had healthy, dense, and steady growth with this method of fertilizing conifers for over two years now.

I am using close to Al's 5-1-1 formula, but since it is for conifers, no need to use alkali -- the ph seems perfect. I add a bit more Black Gold potting soil and pumice to the mix, since the humidity is very low in northern NM, and we often have hot, desiccating winds..

I will use your method and see how it goes. Thanks!
