I don't understand why some people grafts a tree on a standard it's a non sens,ridiculous for me.

I share some agreement with your comment Clement,except in the case of certain "weepers"that are
essentially groundcovers w/o the benefit of some elevation.The Tsuga,'Thorsens Weeping ' comes to mind.
Up right growing plants gain little from this style of grafting.Doug
