Four years of Pinus parviflora 'Richard Lee'

A tiny, tough to grow little pine. This is one of those plants it's often suggested you leave the understock attached for a few years. I tried the first graft and it died. This second one looks like I was lucky.

It's been growing roughly an inch a year at the strong areas of the plant, much less in lower sections. Looks like one of the smallest parvifloras.

2010 - Note that while this plant is from the same batch of grafts, this is specimen died while the rest of the photos show a specimen I had planted in another location(shadier), moved and survived.
