Last weekend I had a chance to get out to Wave Hill, a public gardens in Bronx, New York. A bit of a haven from NYC, Wave Hill is located right in the middle of the Bronx, though you wouldn't know it once you're inside. They had lots of nice specimens of older cultivars and interesting species trees...

Pinus kwangtungensis

Cedrus brevifolia 'Treveron'

Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Pygmaea aurescens'

Pinus roxburghii

Pinus densiflora 'Umbraculifera'

Taxus baccata 'Repandens Aurea Marginata'

Cephalotaxus harringtonia 'Korean Gold'

Abies pinsapo 'Glauca'

Pinus strobus 'Torulosa'

Pinus cembra

Juniperus rigida

Taxus cuspidata. An enormous specimen.
