Next winter color was quite yellow. Elk had been feeding on this tree and i completed his work by taking some little branches too for grafting purposes.

Here snow has melted as i shoot some photos again. Tree looks pretty dead to me and i deside to forget the whole thing.

But what in earth did i see when i went to take a look at it few days ago when i was working near by??!!! Tree was looking completely alive and well and was pushing new growth. It was like any other tree, no sign of yellow colour.

I think it looks cool.....I hope you grafted it.

I agree with Al, it's a nice winter golden one.
I think we need to graft it by the both of us, if one failes, the other can send a plant.

It takes more than i got to move stone like that. I think the first two pictures are taken from the opposite side.

I grafted only a few, because i didnôt really count on it to be anything so special until i saw it turned back green again. Next spring is a different thing totally for i now have different kind of respect for it.

I know folks who plant salix to decoy elk and lesser deer.Good luck with that mutation,it seems brighter than
