if anything.. google juniper tip blight .... and if so.. i just got rid of mine.. they arent worth spending money on cure... if there is one ....

not really aware of juniper bugs ...

and finally .. no.. it didnt come on in weeks.. it 'showed' in the last few weeks.. but being evergreen.. let me suggest.. it could predate last fall .... did you have drought or severe heat last summer... like i did???? .. its the cold freeze-drying effects of winter wind.. that sucked all the moisture out of the evergreen... and when it starts warming this late spring.. that is when they started browning.. which is the end of the orange you speak of ...

ps: and my usual final comment is.. if this is the front of your house.. that is no place for a 5 year renovation project..that will probably fail...just start over....
