That's amazing....what does it's annual growth rate appear to be?

I would say itôs about 15 centimeters of new growth each year. branches seem to be sticking out of ground. Height stays mostly under one meter exept of that one tentacle wich might be closest thing to main trunk?

Jari, do you also think that we've to graft this 'Kalajoki Creeper' this comming winter?
Then we can study how it will grow/develop in ideal circumstances instead of a shady location...

But I think I never saw a photo of it before, is that possible?
Once I see a photo of a conifer, it will not leave my mind very quick...

The positive thing now is that we don't have to wait another extra year to see how it wil develop in ideal circumstances, because it's grafted already :0)

You are right about that, Edwin. I didnôt have a photo of it until i took one two days ago while driving by. Interesting about this one is possibility of picea abies as landscaping plant that might be capable of covering vast area in relatively short period of time.

Jari, that might be possible indeed.
Together we're gonna to find out if this cultivar is suitable for this goal...
