Metasequoia Ogon Seedling Variability

I have a few cones this year on my Ogon or Godzilla yellow or whatever it has been renamed (lol).
To the best of my knowledge and I stare at it alot, my main species tree 200 feet away did not flower last year so I guess it is more probable these are self polinated cones from the Ogon.
Has anyone grown seedlings from an Ogon before which was self polinated? Are the seeds generally of low viability like the species and what does the color spread seem like?
Thanks in advance.
