It is still in the early stages. I will eventually construct those nice "conifer islands" as others have done so wonderfully..
I got carried away with the pictures, but this isn't even everything..

Lots of great plants. Looks like you have a Taiwania cryptomerioides or is that (yellow tree) another Cryptomeria? For zone 6 having Sequoiadendron, Cryp's, Calocedrus, lots of deodara's, Larix, Abies, and so on... you must have a great location to support all that diversity. Nice stuff man.

If that's just the begining you must have plans for a wonderful Pinetum!
    Beautiful location too.

    Please keep us updated,

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the kind words.
Dax, Yep that one is another cryptomeria, 'elegans aurea'.
I am close to the water so the "usda zone chart map" has me at a "7a"!

Cool. Wish I had the space to do all that stuff. Maybe one day... further to the east where I'd get more rainfall. Can't imagine having to keep them alive when major drought hits my area. Not easy to fight against.

@Lou - haha, yes sometimes it gets rough when there is a drought. I am running around with a watering can every day.. Neighbors probably thing I am crazy. I have a nice bald cypress I forgot to take a picture of, you would probably enjoy.. I really like all your baldies, by the way..
@dietzjm - Thanks! Those are around 30 years old.. They are actually two different cultivars.. One turns orangy in the fall and the other is more red/purple..Not sure of their exact names though.
@Ken - Thanks! Yep, those blue spruces are from that other post, haha.. Those are around 35 years old. My grandfather planted many of the mature specimens seen in the photos, this was his house before I bought it.
@Dax - Yep, I like to zone push a bit with my plants, tis fun! Hahaha..

    Thanks!

Jeff, you gotta throw a blue atlas Cedar in there somewhere.

I'm ready for all the names, too.

Thanks tj! I totally forgot about the names. haha.. I will post them all tonight..

Dax, good call! I will definitely throw a blue atlas into the mix. I am having one of my black walnuts cut down today, so that should open up some space.

Unprofessional, the sixth photo down is a Giant Sequoia. I have only had it in the ground for 2 years but it is putting on serious mass quickly!

    Jeff :)

Jeff, thanks for the nice pics of your garden.
Unfortunately not all names you mentioned are right:

    #12 = Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Plumosa'.
#13 = Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Plumosa Aurea'.

#12 and #16 are the same conifer: Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Plumosa'

#28 this is a Picea mariana 'Blue Planet', it's not a Picea glauca cultivar.

#32 'Tensan' must be written as 'Tenzan'

#37 this is a Cedrus deodara 'Aurea', not a Cedrus libanii 'Aurea'.

I hope I helped you with this info...
