May a Sequoiadendron adapt to a site with high winter water table

I know the answer....but please hear this out.
Summer here is dry and all trees need 2-3 years of watering to establish.
But winter (cold and mainly frozen) and spring are wet, water table in this specific spot may be as high as 2.5' from surface. Some of the dryest on property.
Can Sequoiadendrons handle that? Thanks.

It probably could....until it got big and a stiff wind blows it over.
Other than a chainsaw, blowing over is the leading cause of death for Sequoiadendrons. A high water table would hasten it's death.

Did not know that! Looks like a bad call, in this very windy location. Thanks!
