Brown branches

We just moved into a new construction home, which is surrounded by many evergreen trees (spruces, I believe). It is obvious that some of the trees were damaged during construction. I removed branches that were broken, but now I am noticing that some of the "good" branches are turning brown. Is this normal, or is it related to damage? I'm not sure if I should trim more branches, or just leave it alone and let the tree heal itself.

damage from new construction.. which involves soil compaction from large machines.. takes years to show.. and is most likely inevitable ... unless some specific care was taken ...

otherwise.. broken branches should be removed ... either taken back to a viable branch.. or at the trunk..

other than that info.. there is nowhere for us to go w/o a picture ...
