Might have the more typical shape if more vigorous.

It's a true Cedrus deodara 'Albospica'.
Something happened to it's leader in the past.
The only thing you've to do is to stake it and prune it's two side branches half way.
Do it now and you'll see that it will recover before winter will arive...

If you want it to become more vigorous you don't want to be cutting any of it back.

This conifer got damaged in the past and as a nurseryman I'll advise you to cut the side branches half way because:
a: you'll get a nicer specimen with a nicer growing habit.
b. if you don't, the two lower limbs will outgrow their space.

Albospica will become a big broad deodara in time. It is columnar, but broadly so. Like most deodaras though you've got to train the leader when young.

Mine's about 10' now (about a 4" caliper ) and it is getting almost as wide as tall ( probably 6' ).
