Everyone heard me whine for the last two years as we went through the worst drought and heat waves ( 30-60 days in a row over 100 degrees ) in Oklahoma history. But what a difference a year makes.

We are way over our yearly average for rainfall this year. July is a good example......we normally receive about 2-3" in July.....so far this year almost 8" in July alone. It's an incredible difference. And as for temps.....last year by this time we had experienced almost 30 days over 100 hundred already and almost 90 days over 90 degrees. This year we've only had one - as in the number one - day over 100 so far. Shoot, it's not going to be out of the 80's the rest of this week. How incredible is that !!!

So my gardens are extremely greatfull and thriving this year. Now it could all shut off and we have a full month of 100's in August, so we're not getting cocky about it. But it sure has been nice not to go out and constantly be looking for sunburn damage for one year.

Mark it's ironic that I'm a little southeast of you and we've been much drier and hotter- you just can't predict the weather. Glad you're having a good year this year. It was very bad for you last year. My water bill won't be good for sure.
