Picea mariana ‘Blue Tear Drop' photo gallery

A blue reversion on Picea mariana ‘Nana’ which grows about 2”-4” per year. As a young plant it takes on an oval, almost teardrop shape with all of its branches standing upright. The brown, slightly resinous buds contrast nicely with the bright blue foliage. It's slow growth rate makes it a good selection for any size landscape.

Where this stuff gets into my post is beyond me.

‘Nana’ , Should read 'Nana".

‘Blue Tear Drop', 'Blue Tear Drop'.

2”-4” per year. 2-4 inches a year.

Nice specimen Dave, it's found by Bob Fincham and he named it 'Blue Teardrop' instead of 'Blue Tear Drop'.
Unfortunately lots of plantsmen and nurseries write it in the wrong way...

Here is a link that might be useful: 'Blue Teardrop'

Yes, I had it that way 'Blue Teardrop' and changed it for the photo gallery because it was spelled that way so many times.

Good, one I had right the first time.

This can be so confusing. Thanks to Edwin life is easier.
