| Hi Folks -
I am looking for recommendations for the following: 1) Pinus parviflora cultivar with strong blue coloration. Must have a "fully-clothed" appearance, 3' wide x 10' tall in 10 years. Precociously coning. Anything come to mind? P.p. 'Tempelhof'? 2) Dwarf, mounding or flattened top yellow/gold cultivar with 10 year growth of 3' in height x 6' wide. 3) Same as #2 above, except great blue coloration. I am in Zone 7A N.C. with frying pan Summers. Many thanks! PlantMarker |

| its mark right... you have been making these requests forever.. how about some pix .. any results???? as far as i am concerned.. all blue parvs are just about the same blue.... but beyond the blue.. there are many shapes ... and perhaps.. a pic of where you want these to fit.. other things might come to mind ... and most are very airy.. as compared to fully clothed.. if i am understanding your term [???] ... they are not going to look like xmas trees ... imho .. or need you define that term???? ken |

| Ken - "Fully-clothed", to me, is where the abundance of needles dominate the structure from an appearance perspective. It is the opposite of an open, airy form. |

| Pinus parviflora 'Cleary' is a good recommendation. Compact and slow growing. As Ken says,"all blue parvs are just about the same blue." I have 'Glauca' and 'Blue Wave' All same color...50-50 green blue. Fully clothed...foliage clear to ground without interruption Hit the link. Dave Here is a photo of my 1 gal. Here is a link that might be useful: Pinus parviflora 'Cleary'

| I think the forms are somewhat variable. You'll have to find a fully clothed speciman in my opinion. Or prune it as such. 5 stores...over 20 specimans...I finally found one to my liking. This is 'Glauca'. |

| For the gold selection - although not a parviflora: Pinus contorta 'Frisian Gold' Dax |
