Replacement conifer

We just cut down a Colorado Blue Spruce that I planted in front of our livingroom window about 24 years ago, due to whatever disease/fungus is killing CBSs in our area. What would you experts plant in its place? We are in SE Michigan, Zone 6 now, I think. I'm 73 so I'd like something faster rather than slower growing, if possible.

That is so sad that a fungus is killing spruce.Blue junipers are fairly fast growing as are cedars.Kathy
