| Will these varieties do better with afternoon shade in my neck of the woods, with intense sunlight at 7000-foot elevation? |

| You won't know until you try. I've tried and failed here in my zone 6. I try not to buy anything unless it states full sun. There are variegated and yellow conifers that do better in sun than others. Some just need shade until they get established enough. With some shade cloth or something. |
