ID small conifer

This small tree is growing "wild" next to my house and I'd like to keep and move it to a permanant spot. But first I'd like some idea how big it might get. It does not resemble anything growing in my neighborhood. I suspect it is a type of juniper. Any ideas? rwake

if its growing WILD ...

it an invasive juniperous viginiana ...

if you find one.. look around when you drive around.. you will start seeing hundreds of them ..

there are millions of them lining the un-mown roadways in MI ...

get rid of it ...

or at least move it at least 15 feet from the house ...

Ken, Thanks for the quick (3 minutes!) comeback.I like the color and form of it in its juvenile state, but it sounds like it will become a large weed. Ah well.. rwake
