Horstmann's Silberlocke in Minnesota

We have some nice looking specimens of Horstmann's Silberlocke Korean Fir, maybe 5' potted here at our garden center in Wisconsin. Not sure where their stock comes from. They are $100.
My sister would love to plant this in her yard, southern exposure in Minnesota near the Twin Cities.
Is she asking for trouble? I see that some info says zone 5, other info says 4b. I think she's probably in zone 4a.
She was wondering about success with using burlap. She did say it is not in a protected spot....like other gardener's, she often has zone envy.

If anyone has another suggestion for her that might do better....it would be a specimen in her front yard. She was also looking at a Conica Concolor Fir ....which I imagine might have the same issues for her, as she can't find one in her area.

If anyone knows a great source in the TC for her to find unique conifers, she'd be thrilled.
Thx!
