Giant Sequoia growing conditions

I would like to plant a giant sequoia in my area however I am unsure if the growing conditions will work, I live in the eastern S.F bay area at about 110 feet above sea level. I then have a second location in the hills above the bay at about 900 feet they are both very sunny locations. So my question is will these conditions work for the giant sequoia? Thank you
