Skydd animal repellent

Anyone have success repelling deer and rabbits with Skydd animal repellent? I have a few deer coming around at night that browsed two of my first year grafts. I lightly sprayed all my conifer cultivars yesterday and am hoping it does the trick. My local conservation dist. swears the stuff works...

There was a similar discussion not long ago, under the thread title squirrels stripping bark -- what is the active ingredient in "Skydd" ?
The description on the stuff I'm using says that it takes some time for the animals to kick the habit -- i.e. develop an instinctive reaction to avoid biting the plants because of the bitter taste.
So presumably there will still be some small amount of damage before this happens -- but I would think that the more trees you treat, the sooner your local varmints will get the message....

I have just recently started using this product. So far so good. We lost several new rhododendrons, euonymus, azaleas and our hydrangeas got hit pretty hard. Right after I started using this deer skydd I noticed fewer rabbits hanging around and our dogs don't like to got out to relieve themselves like they used to.
