how could it hurt to discuss this with the seller ... perhaps link them to this post.. not to discuss it here... but a way of them looking at your pix ...

the wound leaking doesnt bother me at all ...

but i cant figure out what is going on in the second and third pix.. and i keep banging my head on the table.. whats that all about.. lol ..

I tried uploading direct but it getss rotated to the side again for spme reason.

Emailed the seller and waiting for a response but in the meantime any ideas and if I should be concerned about the leaky cracks in the bark? Pic 2 and 3 are each different cracks on opposite sides of the trunk.

Could those be borer holes visible in the 3rd photo?

It looks like some very rough handling. There has been some stress between the rootball and trunk. That's usually done by gripping the trunk too high and carrying the tree horizontally rather than vertical.
The sap coming out of the fresh cut would be normal this time of year.
I hope your issue with the seller is resolved in a fair manner.
