I'm creating a modest (not towering) screen of evergreens on the borders of my back yard. I have admired cryptomeria for years, and thanks to a storm taking down the last of my old oaks, I now have enough sun.

Due to the relatively small size of my suburban/urban yard, and my desire not to block the sun, I don't have room for the large cryptomeria, and the dwarf cultivars are too small to serve as border screens.

Can anyone recommend a mid-size cultivar? Maxing out at eight feet or so in height (or less), and maybe up to four feet in width (or less)?

I've searched the Internet and there are some choices at online nurseries, but I'd appreciate personal recommendations.
