The 'Filip's Golden Tears' can stand in full sun.
Give it water properly, remember, it's a lawson which could be susceptible for root rot.
Do you know on what understock it was grafted?

consider his latitude.. when comparing the intensity of his idea of full sun ... and yours...

and with all those windmills and what not over there... throw in your altitude ... if any ....

peeps in england.. grow ALL hosta in full sun.. at they are near 65 degrees north .... and grow them to perfection ...

while.. me at about 42 degrees... they fry like potatoes.. in full sun ...

setting aside a discussion of how often the sun does shine over there.. lol ...

you might want to consider some late afternoon.. heat of the day dappled shade.. if you can ...

or i am wrong... just bringing up variables... eh???

Yes it is grafted onto DR - it came from Bizon. I think that I will give it a bit of afternoon sun protection here, not so much because we are hot but because in summer we are sooooo dry. Humidity is in the teens. Ca't wait to see how it performs.

Edwin it was the most expensive plant that I bought by far - $280! But so special....

with the ACS.The gentleman also included a seldom seen
Pinus flexilis'Lil Wolf'.It will remain seldom seen for the next
two years or so.Oh yeah, it went for 420.00.Thanks Janice!

those are crazy big numbers. That auctioneer (whoever he was) must have been on fire. It's scary to think of how much money we made for the ACS. Thanks to all donors, both on the giving and receiving side.
