I'm not sure if it will do well in your zone 4b/5a, i guess it's too cold in wintertime.

In zone 7 it's doing fine.
This is the one at my Pinetum.

Juniperus communis 'Oblonga Pendula' is pretty simular and can stand the cold much better...

There used to be a huge one at Rice Creek Gardens in Minnesota. It was at least 30 years old and had endured zone 4 winters with ease.

Didn't realize it occurs as far north as Primorsky Krai, Russia. That's quite a cold place. That would make hardy in Minnesota believable, as long as it's the right provenance.
