Where do you order from online? NJ zone 6B

I want to plant more native species on my property and I am not pleased with the local garden centers. Everything is a hybrid, a cultivar or a foreign species. They're all hopped up on fertilizer like its crack.

I want natural, young, native plants. I don't care if they grow crooked or look scraggly. I figure if I search online I'll have a better chance of finding what I want.

Any websites that might suit this need that deliver?

The nursery of the state you live in is usually a good place to find native trees at low cost. I think the NJ nursery doesn't deliver by mail, but they should have a location close by to pick seedlings up from.

I have ordered trees en masse from Musser before amd had good luck if you need to reforrest something for a reasonable price.

Over the weekend I attended the Native Plant Sale pictured here. This is the ParkFairfax sale with many vendors and it is more popular than ever.

You're in luck because your state's native plant society has an upcoming sale you should check out, see link.

The NJ State Forestry Nursery has native conifers at a cheap price. You get a 100 bare root seedlings for $30. They have white pine, short leaf pine, pitch pine, Virginia pine, loblolly pine, pitch X loblolly pine (hybrid) Norway spruce (non-native), and Atlantic white cedar (more expensive - larger size). They don't deliver by mail. Instead you have them pick it up at one of their drop off locations around the state. I bought from them last year for my first time. I got pitch X loblolly pine and they were in excellent condition. I will definitely buy seedlings from them in the future. If they don't have what you are looking for then you can look around at some other state nurseries. Many sell to out of state residents and you can have them mailed.

One nursery I've always had good luck with is Cold Stream Farms.

They have lots of conifers that are native to NJ
If you live in Sussex Co. - eastern larch, black spruce, red pine

They also have hemlock, white pine, red cedar.

I'm in Hunterdon County and I bought eastern larch and black spruce from Cold Stream Farms 3 years ago. All are doing well. Some of the larch are already over 8 feet.
